The Perry School Board met in regular session on Monday. Superintendent Clark Wicks revealed that the Perry Community School District has lost 109 students following their latest certified enrollment report. He attributed most of the students’ leaving was from the closure of Perry’s Tyson Foods Pork Plant at the end of June. Wicks also commented that Perry’s Recovery Coordinator Mandy Ross is doing a superb job of forming a recovery committee team to assist with mental health services.
