    Wrong-way crash on Highway 225 kills driver, injures another

    HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — A deadly crash involving a wrong-way driver happened on Thursday night in southeast Houston.

    The incident happened around 11 p.m. on Highway 225 near Goodyear Drive.

    Houston police said the wrong-way driver was going eastbound in the westbound lanes. That car then hit another car and caught fire.

    Both cars were totaled in the crash. The driver that died at the scene appears to be in his 20s or 30s.

    The other driver who was going the right way was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.
