Trump Tells Chuck Schumer He Can Become ‘The First Woman President’ if Kamala Harris Loses

Former President Donald Trump told Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) he could become “the first woman president” if Vice President Kamala Harris loses on Thursday.

Speaking next to Schumer at the annual Al Smith Dinner in New York, Trump said, “The press is reporting the Democrats are starting to panic. They’re panicking. They are panicking because you know the votes that are coming in are coming in very, very strong a certain way. I won’t tell you what way that is, but Chuck Schumer is here looking very glum.”

Schumer shook his head as Trump stroked his back and remarked, “Doesn’t he look glum? He looks glum. But look on the bright side, Chuck, considering how woke your party has become, if Kamala loses, you still have a chance to become the first woman president.”

As the audience burst into laughter, Trump continued, “I actually said, ‘Do you mind if I do that?’ and he said, ‘No, you gotta do what you gotta do.’ He’s a pro, he’s a professional. Nah, he’s a good man, actually. I hate to say it. Don’t ever use it against me, please.”

Trump concluded, “But I’ve known him a long time.”

The former president made other remarks during his speech which didn’t land quite so well with the audience.

Guests at the dinner were visibly unimpressed with his “Barack Hussein Obama” taunts, as well as his claim that President Joe Biden had the “mental faculties of a child.”

Comedian Jim Gaffigan took a shot at Harris’s controversial decision not to attend the dinner, questioning, “I’m sorry, why is Vice President Harris not here?” and listing a number of shows and podcasts which the vice president did make time for.
