    AC, Downbeach police issue traffic advisories for Atlantic City Marathon

    Residents and motorists are being advised of traffic changes during the Atlantic City Marathon being held this weekend.


    The 2024 Atlantic City Marathon Race Series will take place Saturday, and Sunday, Oct. 19-20 and travels through Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport.


    The races will begin on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Motorists will see an influx of traffic on both days. In addition, bicycles will be prohibited on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City and Ventnor during the event.

    The marathon on Sunday will impact the traffic flow in Atlantic City. Motorists should expect major delays and detours in the following areas:


    • Brigantine Connector/Atlantic City Expressway Tunnel will be closed from 7-10 a.m.
    • Employee access road to Borgata, entrance to Borgata, Harrah’s and Golden Nugget will experience delays from 7-10:30 a.m.
    • Borgata employee parking and delivery entrance will be closed from 7-10 a.m.
    • Bacharach Boulevard, New Hampshire Avenue and Melrose Avenue will experience delays from 7-10:30 a.m.
    • In Margate, Jerome Avenue from the Margate bridge to Ventnor Avenue will experience delays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Atlantic Avenue from Washington Avenue in Ventnor to 11 th Avenue in Longport will experience delays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Amherst Avenue from Monroe Avenue to Jerome Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.


    There will be no parking along the route.

    So basically your inconveniencing hundred of employees and travelers because you can’t plan a route that’s safe and doesn’t cause everyone else problems… not a surprise by EXTREMELY ILL PREPARED ATLANTIC CITY
