Taylor Swift's army of fans could not help but see the funny side as they mocked Travis Kelce after he debuted a mullet by comparing him with Billy Ray Cyrus.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made his acting debut as nurse Ed Lachlan in FX's horror series "Grotesquerie", turning heads with his performance in episode three . The three-time Super Bowl winner even gave a nod to girlfriend Swift in one scene as he made a getaway in a red car - in reference to the singer's 2017 track "Getaway Car".
The NFL superstar forms part of an ensemble cast of stars who feature including Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Nicholas Alexander Chavez. However, his latest look on the show divided opinion after a social media post on the "Grotesquerie" Instagram page showed him sporting a mullet.
Appearing rather vexed in the picture, he is looking straight at the camera while clad in a brown leather jacket, alongside an open shirt and blue jeans. The caption for the snap read: "Nothing is what it seems. No one is who they seem. Episode 7 of FX's Grotesquerie is now streaming on Hulu."
Fans could not help but make fun of Kelce in the comments, as one user said: "That's an insane transformation omg. so excited to see what's coming," as a second compared him with a film favorite, saying: "He killed me when he came out looking like Forrest Gump. we want nurse Ed back."
Another then said: "WHAT IN THE BILLY RAY. We want nurse Travis back lol," while a third person was more positive, as they looked forward to what was next in store for Kelce on the show as they commented: "That's an insane transformation omg. so excited to see what's coming.

As for his transition to the world of acting, Kelce previously spoke positively about his experience on the show, saying on " Good Morning America " in June: "I've been on a few shows before… I've only played myself in those shows, though.
"So it's definitely different portraying a character and trying to find the emotions in everything, and the understanding of a script and the scene. But it's a challenge."
The 36-year-old also admitted that he was enjoying learning a new discipline as he turned his talents to the silver screen, adding: "I feel like an amateur right now, but it's definitely a fun challenge, and I'm enjoying every bit of it, for sure… I'm coachable. That's one thing I know from being in sports, I am a coachable guy.
"It's just been awesome… Everybody involved in terms of the actors and the directors and the writers have just helped me out so much, understanding what I'm supposed to be doing. And I'm just havin' fun with it."
