    Homecoming events planned for this week in Marlin

    Marlin High School is excited as plans are in the making for the upcoming Oct. 25 Homecoming events. This homecoming will commemorate as the first at the newly renovated Legion Field.

    The Oct. 25 pep rally will launch at 11:30 a.m. at the Marlin Middle Gym and parade will begin at 2 p.m. Please reach out to Mrs. Kesha Womack at the Marlin Secondary front office for more information on how to secure an entry in the parade as well as tailgating spot before the game.  The parade entry fee is $15 (floats) and $10 (vehicles). The deadline is noon, Oct. 21.

    The parade line-up starts on Oaks St. The route will travel right on Coleman St. to Fortune St. (four-way stop). Turning left and heading through downtown, spectators will anxiously await the Sounds of Thunder, Homecoming Court, alumni, local clubs and organizations. Turning left on Walker (HEB), the parade will proceed left on Coleman, ending on Oaks St.

    Tailgating will be from 4-7 p.m. at Legion Field. There will be no tailgating during and after the game. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and the Homecoming Ceremony will be during halftime.

    Marlin ISD will not be responsible for any personal bodily injury or will not be held liable for any stolen or damaged goods.
