Her efforts helped lead to the U.S. Open becoming the first Grand Slam tournament to offer equal pay for men and women in 1973. Beyond her tennis career, Venus is a successful entrepreneur. She co-founded the interior design firm V Starr Interiors and has launched her own activewear line, EleVen.</p><p>Venus has won four Olympic gold medals—one in singles and three in doubles alongside her sister Serena.</p><p>She reached the world No. 1 ranking in women’s singles for the first time in 2002 and held that position for a total of 11 weeks.
