Prospect Way on Thursday.An unknown suspect went to multiple banks with fraudulent checks from this business and cashed two checks totaling over $5,000. As the investigation progressed, Garden City Officers identified the suspect as 32-year-old Jesse Foy of Boise.Officers from the Garden City and Meridian Police IMPACT team located Foy at a Boise motel. Foy was contacted and arrested without incident.Foy was on federal probation for Grand Theft by any Common Law Larceny, Embezzlement, Extortion or Receiving Stolen Goods. Garden City Police Chief Cory Stambaugh reports Foy was released before serving his sentence.Chief Stambaugh stated Foy should have been serving his sentence as an inmate with the Idaho Department of Corrections, and this incident would not have happened if Foy was not released before his sentence satisfaction date of July 12, 2025.Foy was booked into the Ada County Jail on the following charges:<ul><li>Grand Theft Felony</li><li>Probation Violation Warrant Felony</li></ul>Foy will be arraigned at the Ada County Courthouse at 1 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2024.</div></body>
