Kevin Costner Reveals If He Would Date Hoda Kotb After Chemistry-Filled ‘Today’ Interview

Kevin Costner has finally addressed the millions of fans who want him to date Hoda Kotb.

The Yellowstone actor sat down with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, October 17, to discuss whether or not he was interested in pursuing Hoda, 60, romantically.

“Fans are hoping that the two of you could be a couple,” ET’s Rachel Smith told Kevin, 69, during the interview, in which he appeared virtually. She explained to him that fans have been “shipping” Kevin and Hoda together ever since he appeared on Today in June.

“Well look, I’m not on a national dating service. I appreciate the good will,” Kevin said candidly. “She’s been great to me. When I go back there … people treat me well. They treat me good. And she’s got a spark and we’ve never had coffee together.”

Rachel said that she could play “matchmaker” and text Hoda to make arrangements for a date with Kevin if he wanted.

“Look, you know, I know how to meet girls if I have to,” the Dances With Wolves director told her, which made her chuckle.

Hoda also previously addressed all of the chatter about her chemistry with Kevin during their Today interview. The broadcaster appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on July 9.

“How do you feel about viewers ‘shipping’ you and Kevin Costner after he appeared on Today last month? And have the two of you connected since?” one fan asked Hoda in a submitted question. She responded, “Wait what?”

“The viewers want the two of you together,” Andy Cohen told her. “Yes, yes, yes, yes.”

But Hoda insisted that she was unaware of the fan comments about her and Kevin. “I have never heard that, not one time,” she remarked, to which Today cohost Savannah Guthrie replied, “Well, you heard it now, you up to it?”

“Well, if the viewers want it,” Hoda cheerfully said. Savannah, 52, urged Hoda to “give the people what they want.”

Jenna Bush Hager also addressed the fan comments during an episode of Today.

“People were coming up to me on the street, and people were like, ‘You should set up Hoda and Kevin Costner,’” the former first daughter confessed.

“I did love when he had his people who were here and they were just talking about him, they were like, ‘He is so funny,’” Hoda shared during the July 10 Today episode. “And they were describing, like, he likes to eat baked beans out of the can. Like, he’s just a regular person.”

However a source told Closer that after his divorce from Christine Baumgartner, Kevin was not interested in dating Hoda.

“Have you seen the type of women Kevin dates?” an insider told Closer in July. “He has a type — and as great as Hoda is, she isn’t what he’s looking for.”

“Plus, anyone who knows Kevin knows how embarrassed this whole situation makes him,” the source added. “All this attention on his love life is the last thing he wants!”
