Located inside the Hipopo Papa (formerly Mumin Papa) Cafe, thousands visit the restaurant in Akashi, Japan, daily. Unfortunately, the restroom is “women only,” although men can tour the facility if escorted by a female.

The original design cost thirty million Yen , or just under $300,000 in US currency. The toilet room has aquariums on three sides and has been a restaurant fixture since at least 2012. The aquarium houses a variety of colorful fish, underwater greenery, and a rather large sea turtle. The aquariums mimic the view you would see if you were snorkeling in the ocean.

Some people might be able to relieve themselves with fish staring. They might find it relaxing, while others might find it disconcerting.
