Jay Cutler's Mug Shot Goes Viral After Former NFL QB Arrested for DUI

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested in Tennessee on a charge of driving under the influence and gun possession, with the 41-year-old's mugshot later being shared on social media.

Online police records obtained by TMZ showed that Cutler was booked at the Williamson County Jail in Nashville on Oct. 17 for a charge of DUI and three other offenses, including "failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence." He was later released on bond.

The TMZ report also referenced what it described as Cutler's "scruffy mug shot," noting that the former quarterback "doesn't look too happy."

The image quickly circulated on social media, garnering viral attention.

Cutler has lived in Nashville, where ex-wife Kristin Cavallari also lives with the couple's children. The couple split in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2022.

Cutler said afterward that he celebrated when the divorce was finalized.

“When the settlement came through, I threw a party,” Cutler said on his podcast, Uncut With Jay Cutler .

Cutler also spoke about the end of his marriage, saying divorce was the right outcome.

"I don’t recommend divorce for anybody," Cutler said. "I’m just gonna go ahead and say that, but it worked out. It worked out for Kristin. It worked out for me, so it is what it is.”

The circumstances surrounding Cutler's arrest remain unclear at this time.
