Travis Kelce is not about to let baseball fans call him a "poser," pushing back against questions about his team loyalties in a fierce message.
It all started earlier this week, after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his girlfriend , pop superstar Taylor Swift , were spotted at a Yankees playoff game . Days later, Kelce shared an ecstatic post on X (formerly Twitter) sharing his support for Cleveland's MLB Team, the Guardians.

"Playoff baseball baby!!! @CleGuardians have the city absolutely ROCKIN TONIGHT!!" Kelce, 35, exclaimed. "What a game!"
The three-time Super Bowl champ's statement upset some people online who believe there's a rule about only cheering for one team per sport. Shortly afterward, Kelce replied to his original tweet with quite the statement.
"Iāve been a cleveland sports fan my entire lifeā¦" he wrote, adding, "Make it back to countless amount of games over the years both Guards and Cavs just to enjoy these memories with my friends and family, WIN OR LOSE!!"
"I donāt wear Cleveland gear one time and all of a sudden Iām not a real fan?!" the New Heights podcaster exclaimed in disbelief. "Ask anybody that was in or around that suite on game 1 who I was cheering for, theyāll let you know I was there for the @CleGuardians ."
Those keeping close tabs on Kelce found this entire interaction hilarious, with one fan writing : "I love that Travis Kelce has a million rumors spread about him every day and he doesnāt respond to any of them, but as soon as someone accuses him of being a fake Cleveland fan, he has to clear it up. thats a true Clevelander right there."
"Was so ridiculous," a second wrote in defense of the football pro. "Just bc he doesnāt travel to NY decked out in Guardians gear. Iām sure if it was a home game heād be in all the fan gear."
Even the official X account for the MLB team appeared to counter the claims, joking in a reply to the NFL star: "We'll see you next time in full uniform though, right?"
Still, fans are determined to "cancel" Kelce's latest sports take, citing not only his recent date night at "The House that Ruth Built" but a decades-old tweet they resurfaced in which he cheered on the Bronx Bombers.
"and my #Yankee's lost....," Kelce tweeted in October 2010. smh hats off to the #rangers though, but Im hurttin' tonight!!!"
