Will Cyrus murder Sam?

Virginia soap fans, Kelly Monaco's mother, Carmina Monaco, has allegedly leaked information online about how Sam McCall will die. Celebrating the Soaps reveals that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will inject the drug Digitalis, which is used for heart failure, into Sam's IV.

Soap Dirt reveals that Digitalis is undetectable, so it may look as if Sam died from complications from the surgery. This information from a "leak" is not a spoiler nor guaranteed, but this scenario is spreading.

Why would Cyrus take out Sam?

The one thing no one can figure out is why Cyrus would murder Sam after she saves his niece. The rumor mill suggests he holds her responsible because her father, Julian Jerome (William deVry), set off the bomb that injured Lulu.
