    ProTips:

    1. Use real Coca-Cola; don't substitute with Diet Coke.

    3. Don’t overmix! Stir until everything is just combined.

    4. Frost While Warm: Pour your fudgy frosting over the cake while it’s still warm from the oven. This allows it to seep into the cake just a little, making it extra gooey and delicious.

    5. Use high-quality cocoa—don't skimp on this!

    6. Serve With Ice Cream: Take your cake over the top with a big scoop of ice cream.

    7. Make It Ahead: This cake only gets better with time! So go ahead and make it the day before!

    8. Want more fudgy goodness? The perfect fudgy bite comes from refrigerating your cake.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 C. Coca-Cola (don't use diet)
    • 1/2 C. canola or vegetable oil
    • 1/2 C. Butter
    • 6 Tbsp. Cocoa (use high-quality)
    • 2 C. all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/2 C. Buttermilk
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. of vanilla

    Frosting:

    • 1/2 C. Butter
    • 3 Tbsp. cocoa (use good quality)
    • 6 Tbsp of half and half
    • 1 1/2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
    • 3 1/2 C. powdered sugar

    Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Generously grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place to the side.

Using a medium-sized sauce pan, add your Coca-Cola, canola oil, stick of butter, and cocoa. Bring your mixture to a low boil.

Using a large bowl, add in your all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Whisk to combine.

Pour your boiling Coca-Cola mixture over the top of your flour mixture. Using a stand mixer (or hand mixer), beat until combined. Now add your buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, and vanilla extract. Again, beat to combine.

Pour your cake batter into your prepared 9 x 13-inch baking dish and place it in your preheated oven.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the top has set. Remove from oven and cool for about 10 minutes.

While your cake is cooling, make your frosting. Place your butter, cocoa, and half-and-half in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a low simmer, and your butter has melted. Remove from heat and add your vanilla extract.

In a medium-sized bowl, add in your powdered sugar. Pour your butter and cocoa mixture over the top and, using a hand or stand mixer, combine. Once mixed, add your frosting over the top. You will want your cake to still be warm.

    Enjoy Friends! ❤️
