All of these will be recommended for full approval at Monday’s County Board meeting.</p><p>Sheriff Kuhns then gave details to the Committee about how to spend Opioid funds being provided by a settlement deal. Sheriff Kuhns stated that his estimate for the year is in the $50k range, which would fund the potential opioid rehabilitation program for the year. He said he can’t guarantee how many people will use the program, but stated that lots of local entities have expressed interest in partnering with the Sheriff’s Office to help those who would participate. Sheriff Kuhns said with all the support coming from local entities for the program, a 2-year plan would be best so there is some guarantee that the program will continue. All Committee members showed support, and approved the recommendation for the 2-year plan.</p><p>The Committee also approved:</p><ul><li>Historic Courtyard and Gazebo Project (Sandi Rich abstained)</li><li>Childcare Research Committee Funding</li><li>Effingham Regional Growth Alliance Funding</li><li>Abandoned bikes in the Sheriff’s Office storage to be handed over to FISH</li><li>Invoices for Superior Windows Company for installed windows at the County Building</li><li>Health Insurance for County Employees</li><li>Elimination of Medicare Incentive (Doug McCain voted no)</li></ul></div></body>
