His friend decided it was time to check his tickets and she got out her Lottery app.As expected, she found minimal $4 and $7 prizes in the pile, but then came across a $50,000 winner in the stack of tickets. “Malcolm Reynolds” couldn’t believe it.“I told her to scan it again,” he said with a laugh. “Then I went home and looked up the winning numbers online. I had to keep checking. I couldn’t believe it.”The winning numbers from the Saturday, Sept. 28 drawing were 3, 11, 13, 24 and 39; the Powerball was 22. He missed out on the $245 million jackpot as he had 63 instead of 3, but it was still enough to secure the third-tier prize of $50,000.The Baltimore County resident said he plans to put his prize into the bank.“Malcolm Reynolds” purchased his winning ticket at the Bel Air Looney’s Pub, located at 312 S. Main Street in Harford County.Powerball is rolling along and is getting closer to the half billion mark.
