Two additional charges of embezzlement and falsifying financial records were dismissed, though they are factored into the over $25,592.76 restitution Lavley has been ordered to pay.</p><p>Lavley’s actions, which took place between January 2022 and November 2023, were uncovered after a sheriff’s deputy, Chandler Peay, noticed unusually high expenses on an association credit card. Lavley used the funds to pay for personal trips, including family visits to Disneyland and Las Vegas, and made unauthorized purchases such as electronics, furniture, and groceries.</p><p>Lavley is scheduled for sentencing on November 22, where she could avoid state prison if she repays the full restitution.
