A Naperville woman is being charged with reckless homicide in a crash that led to the death of a motorcycle passenger in May. The Aurora Police Department alleges that 37-year-old Adrienne Wheeler was attempting to make an unsafe U-turn on Butterfield Road, from the curbside eastbound lane to the westbound lanes near Savannah Drive, when her SUV was hit by a motorcycle. The passenger, 29-year-old Nicole Ross of Cortland, was thrown off the motorcycle and struck by another vehicle. She was taken to a hospital and died a day later. The motorcycle’s driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Wheeler was reportedly making a food delivery at the time.
