Late at night on Thursday, October 10, two people died during a shooting at a local gas station. A 23-year-old man stated he was jumped earlier that night, and then thought that those responsible were a group of motorcyclists at a different location. The 23-year-old went to his parents house and told them about being jumped earlier that night. According to Keloland, “Court documents say someone told them the people who’d assaulted him were near 41st Street and South Sertoma Avenue, about four miles from the home. ” After this tip, the 23-year-old returned to the Kum and Go gas station, near this intersection, along with his 44-year-old father, 14-year-old brother, and his 42-year-old mother who was in a separate car.
