Golden Retriever's Sweet Face While Being Sung 'Happy Birthday' Is Perfection

Birthdays are the single cutest part of the human experience. There's nothing more pure than, "hey, you were born, and I love you, let's have a party!" We're pretty much the only species that does that, and it's just precious.

If you've ever had a pet, you know that even more than human birthdays, going all-out for our furry friends on their special days is the most fun of all. Recently, on his first ever birthday, one Golden Retriever was just so in love with his birthday celebration he could hardly contain it:

Tuk Tuk, please give me an invitation to your next birthday party. l will bring so many presents. PLEASE?!

At his big age of one year old, Tuk Tuk is already becoming a star. His most popular video has over 2 million views: a street performer switched songs as soon as he saw Tuk Tuk coming. He ate that up, too. This sweet pup just adores how the world bends to his every whim - as it should. Tuk Tuk should rule us all.

Unfortunately, his beloved street performer was not available to sing him happy birthday, so the job was left to just his closest friends and family. He still loved it: all of the attention was on him, everyone was singing to him, and he even got a nibble of cake afterward. It was awesome!

    Do Dogs Actually Like Singing?

Making up silly songs about everything your dog does is like, rule number three of having a dog, right behind 1) paying the cheese tax and 2) trying to train them to be good dogs. If you're not singing to your dog, you're a little crazy... or are you?

Dogs love to be sung to directly by their loved ones. It shows them that you're paying attention to them, and they love that in all forms. Plus, singing is usually interesting: it's not a sound they hear all the time, so it really grabs their attention, too. If you're ever having a hard time getting your pup to focus on you, you might even want to try to sing their name instead!

In addition to their favorite humans singing to them, dogs typically enjoy music, too! Some surefire crowd pleasers for pups are:

    1. Soft classical
    2. Lofi
    3. Soft rock

Music is a great way to help alleviate a dog's anxiety, but it needs to be calming music: if you start scream-singing or playing music with a lot of loud, odd noises, they'll be more likely to feel anxious. Happy birthday is a hit all year round, though!
