A new restaurant has opened in Maumee, Ohio

MAUMEE, OH - A new restaurant has come to town.

Are you looking for a place to get breakfast? If you answered yes to that question, you might want to know that Sunrise Skillet has opened a new restaurant in Maumee at 2550 Parkway Plaza. According to the restaurant's social media account, the Maumee location opened for business earlier this month. This is Sunrise Skillet's third location; the restaurant also has locations in Toledo at 1855 S Reynolds Rd and 2633 W Bancroft St.

The restaurant's menu includes breakfast skillets like the Big Western skillet (which comes with ham, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, two strips of bacon, sausage links, and two eggs) and the country skillet, which comes with country fried steak, onions, mushrooms, house-made gravy, cheese, and two eggs.

In addition, Sunrise Skillet offers items like biscuits & gravy, corned beef hash, steak & eggs, traditional eggs benedict (which comes with an English muffin that is topped with ham steak, poached eggs, and homemade hollandaise sauce), Irish eggs benedict (which comes with an English muffin that is topped with corned beef hash, poached eggs, and homemade hollandaise sauce), and more. Furthermore, the restaurant offers omelets like the southwestern omelet (which is filled with grilled chicken, onions, tomatoes, roasted corn, peppers, avocado, and cheese), Bayou omelet (which is filled with andouille sausage, onions, green peppers, tomato, and pepper jack cheese), and Denver omelet (which is filled with ham, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheese).

Also on the menu are pancakes, cinnamon roll pancakes (which have a homemade brown sugar cinnamon glaze and are topped with homemade whipped cream), strawberry coconut waffle, chicken & waffle (which comes with a Belgian waffle, crispy buttermilk chicken tenders, and homemade bourbon butter), classic French toast, cinnamon raisin French toast, and more.

For lunch, the restaurant has some salads like the gyro salad (which has grilled gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, feta cheese, green pepper, and homemade Greek dressing) and the berry salad, which has grilled chicken, strawberries, blueberries, pecans, and goat cheese. The menu also includes sandwiches like a classic Reuben, the Sunrise burger (which is topped with cheddar, bacon, and an egg), pastrami on grilled rye, turkey melts, and more.
