    NSU Hosts "A Day for Children" Event With Free Health Services On Saturday

    Fort Lauderdale, FL - Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will be hosting a community event on Saturday to provide free and low-cost health services for children under the age of 16.

    "A Day for Children" will take place at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library, located at 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.

    The event will offer a variety of health screenings, including:

    • Vision screenings
    • Medical check-ups
    • Speech therapy
    • Behavioral health assessments
    • Dental health services
    • Physical and occupational therapy


    In addition to the health services, the event will feature free games, activities, and food for children and their families.

    Local law enforcement and first responders will also be on-site to participate in activities throughout the day.

    The NSU Alvin Sherman Library staff will be available to assist children and families in obtaining library cards and learning about the library's resources.
