I remember when we had 3 back to back hurricanes. Charlie and the other two. Florida figured out how to get passed all the damage. In ormond beach alone, they lost about 20 hotels and condos. there was construction for a long time. Florida bounced back eventually. but these interest rates and insurance is what is really doing the most damage. maybe this will make the housing market go back down. that would be amazing.

I spent years in Mississippi before coming back to Florida to care for my parents. In the areas in Mississippi, Louisiana ect. the houses are built on stilts. and are built strong enough that they majarity of them, survive the hurricanes. At the least, they don't get flooded.
