    I don't know how they call him the "Father of modern American music" when nothing he wrote sounds like any American music, & nothing American soynds like him. Then consider Jazz, Blues, Rock & Roll, even Alternative, Grunge, nor Punk, did not come from him. Father of American Classical style music, maybe. (Note: I I admit ignorance of the who, what, or when, olde tymie music, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, were, knowing that some is Classical, Romantic, Baroque, etc.. I know the music, well, just not the eras, & names of those eras. I grew up calling it all classical music. Nonetheless, I stand by my opinion.)
