Gusty winds and low humidity are creating critical fire weather conditions across the Sacramento Valley, expected to persist through Saturday evening. Wind gusts of up to 55 mph are possible in the Delta, with the southern Sacramento and northern San Joaquin Valleys also experiencing strong winds. Humidity levels will drop to single digits, increasing fire danger. A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 p.m. tonight, and a Red Flag Warning is in place until 5 p.m. Saturday.

With relative humidity dropping into the single digits, the risk of wildfires remains high. The Wind Advisory will remain in effect until 11 p.m. tonight. Calmer conditions are expected by Sunday as light winds and near-normal temperatures return, with highs in the 70s to low 80s.

Winds will weaken by Sunday, with a return to dry and seasonable weather next week.
