In the Concert Hall, the audience watched as 36 Madison Avenue opened the show with a warm welcome back. They introduced several new members, all clad in blue shirts, one of whom led the opening number “Dancing In the Moonlight” by Toploader. The song, with its smooth vocals and nostalgic feel, made for a very enjoyable uptempo-beat song.After 36 Madison Avenue’s performance, On A Different Note, the soprano-alto acapella group, came onto stage to perform in all black attire. They also introduced new members, and kicked off with “Black Horse and The Cherry Tree” by KT Tunstall. After their performances of “Back on 74” by Jungle and “Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac, the all-voices acapella group All of the Above came onto stage. Dressed in pink, they introduced new members and started off with the song “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton. Their finale was filled with excitement as past alumni stood up from the audience to join the current members on stage. The group closed the show with all old and new members singing “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles.The concert was filled with many different genres of music and surprises and was a great way to start the year off with all of Drew University’s acapella groups.After the show, All of the Above held a bake sale in the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts. They had desserts that fit different dietary needs, like gluten free and dairy-free treats.
