CHICAGO - Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler found himself in legal hot water after being arrested Thursday evening in Franklin, Tennessee, following an alleged DUI incident and a reported bribe offer of $2,000 to the driver of a car he rear-ended.

Police responded to a minor accident in the 200 block of Bridge Street around 5 p.m., involving two vehicles. According to the police report, Cutler, 41, rear-ended another vehicle. Officers on the scene noted that he exhibited signs of intoxication, such as slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

Initially, Cutler denied drinking but later admitted to having "a little bit" when questioned further. He refused field sobriety tests and was transported to a local hospital, where a blood sample was taken under a warrant.

Authorities also discovered two firearms in Cutler’s vehicle—a rifle and a loaded Glock pistol. According to the police report, Cutler allegedly attempted to flee the scene after offering the other driver $2,000 to avoid involving the police.

The driver of the other vehicle declined medical attention on-site but later drove himself to the hospital, citing back pain.

Cutler now faces several charges, including first-offense DUI, possession of a handgun while under the influence, failure to exercise due care, and implied consent. He was released later that evening on a $5,000 bond.

Following his divorce from reality star Kristin Cavallari, Cutler has remained in the public eye through his podcast and media appearances. His next court appearance is set for January 16.

“Siting back pain” after he found out who it was. Not condoning the DUI but it’s funny how the other driver refused medical attention then “o my back” the lawyer cousin he called said you can sue!
