The Cleveland Browns are dreadful in large part due to their massive shortcomings at the quarterback position. Deshaun Watson currently ranks 37th in the NFL in EPA per play and success rate (min. 50 plays). Even so, head coach Kevin Stefanski continues to reiterate that Watson is the starter going forward.

In light of the bad play under center, there have been several proposed trades that would send a new quarterback to Cleveland, the latest of which has the Browns making a deal with the Green Bay Packers. Rucker Haringey of FanSided says the Browns should send a second-round pick to the Packers in exchange for Malik Willis.

"The Browns are currently saddled with an albatross in the form of Deshaun Watson's fully guaranteed contract," Haringey writes. "The size and duration of the deal make it practically impossible for Cleveland to offload him in favor of another high-priced quarterback. In this deal, Cleveland would be overpaying the Packers for Willis in exchange for getting a quarterback on a relatively modest contract. They need to get a new quarterback into the building that they can afford. Willis represents the best option they could do on a budget."

Willis led the Packers to two wins in two starts while Jordan Love was sidelined with a knee injury. In those two games, he threw for 324 yards and two scores while adding 114 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
