However, a scheduled presentation on the Buffalo Soldiers has been postponed by two weeks.</p><p>The Missouri Day Fall Colors Bus Tours will be offered from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday. Participants are to meet Crowder Park Superintendent Anna Persell at the equestrian parking lot. The tour provides an opportunity to learn about various tree species, visit the Thompson Cemetery, and explore the historic Thompson House. Persell will drive the bus, and tours will depart every 30 minutes.</p><p>Crowder Park Specialist Jessica Roy informed KTTN that the Friends of the Thompson House will be present at the event and available to engage with guests. Roy also explained that participants can disembark from the bus and remain at any location for as long as they wish. When they are ready to return, the bus will transport them back to the parking lot. To reach the equestrian parking lot, travel west from the main park entrance to 52nd Avenue, turn right, and follow the road. Then, make another right turn onto Dove Lane, which leads to the parking lot.</p><p>Roy also confirmed that the Buffalo Soldiers presentation, originally scheduled for this Saturday, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict with the presenter. The presentation has been rescheduled for noon on November 2. State Park Interpreter Kevin Smith will discuss the 1897 bicycle journey of the Buffalo Soldiers, an all-Black unit that traveled from Fort Missoula, Montana, to St. Louis, Missouri. The 1,900-mile trek took 41 days to complete. The rescheduled presentation will be held at the Camp Grand River Recreation Hall at noon on November 2.</p></div></body>
