(KBAK/KBFX) — 11 people were arrested following a multi-agency operation in east Bakersfield. Officials said suspected fentanyl, a gun, and over $3,000 were allegedly found during the operation.The Bakersfield Police Department said on October 16th, 2024, members of the Bakersfield Police Department Narcotics Unit, Bakersfield Police Department Impact Team, Code Enforcement, and the Rapid Response Team, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), conducted an operation in the area of Baker Street and Sumner Street after receiving complaints of narcotics-related activity in the area.Police said as a result of this operation, narcotics detectives, impact officers, and DEA agents arrested two suspected fentanyl dealers and nine people in possession of narcotics and outstanding arrest warrants.Bakersfield police said the Rapid Response Team also helped in two seizures of personal property.According to police, information taken during this investigation ended in the execution of four search warrants and the seizure of 4 ounces of suspected fentanyl, $3,251.00 in currency, and a 5.7 caliber handgun.</div></body>
