Missouri Football Hypes Up Homecoming Game Vs. Auburn With $2.99 Draft Beer Happy Hour… At 9:30 AM

The Missouri Tigers football program is on the up and up, but apparently they want to generate bigger home attendance numbers. Or perhaps this is just a genuine gesture of kindness toward the student body and fans who plan to attend Saturday's SEC clash with Auburn, which happens to fall on homecoming weekend. Despite an embarrassing blowout loss to Texas A&M, the Tigers are 19th in the AP poll and still have enough time to rally for a top-12 bid into the College Football Playoff. They'll need all the help they can get, as the margin for error is very slim from here on in. Thus, the fine folks at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri, will be selling a one-hour happy hour beer draft special, where each brew is only $2.99. https://www.instagram.com/p/DBMRspKvI7-/ Draft beers are easily in the double digits at most major college football venues. This is dream stuff like The Masters' food pricing at Augusta National. Such a brilliant way to draw fans in, especially them college kids. Lines for concessions will be overflowing as folks forgo the tailgate scene and pile in to get their hands on such cheap beer in the stadium. I was talking about Texas A&M before. Their regular-season finale against the top-ranked Texas Longhorns has tickets going for
a median price of $1,600 . Oh, and have fun paying $14 per beer. Safe to say between massive head coach salaries, the explosive player mobility via the transfer portal, and all the NIL money flying around, college football is getting a little too pricey. Per SeatGeek , you can get darn good tickets in close and right around midfield for Missouri-Auburn at less than $200. Getting the chance to watch a legitimate first-round wide receiver prospect like Mizzou's Luther Burden III and mow down at least a couple drafts of $2.99 beer beforehand? That sounds like an absolute win of a Saturday for Tigers fans. https://twitter.com/espn/status/1845144724274819458 Why wouldn't you take advantage of this if you can? Who knows, if you follow the school's directive to give Auburn a gold-out, sold-out crowd, you just might extend that $2.99 happy hour a bit. https://twitter.com/MizzouAthletics/status/1847322021430243822 Looks like it'll be a killer time in Columbia for Mizzou's homecoming. https://twitter.com/MizzouFootball/status/1846965707843731469 https://twitter.com/MizzouFootball/status/1847306769992647024
