On Thursday, it was announced that Rhino and Bob Ryder are going to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame during Bound For Glory weekend. However, according to Matt Hardy on his podcast , another name was also up for consideration, with former NFL player Monty Brown suggested. Yet any plans to induct him couldn’t progress as he is now “ off the grid ” and therefore can’t be located, which is very surprising given most people are on some type of social media nowadays.

“I know there was a big push from a lot of the boys, and I’m down with this too, that Monty Brown was someone that was up for consideration, but it seemed like they were having a hard time getting a hold of Monty Brown. He’s kind of off the grid, it seems like.”

After an ankle injury ended his NFL career, Brown would begin training under Dan Severn and Sabu to become a wrestler in 2000. From there, he would have two runs in TNA wrestling names like Christian Cage, Jeff Hardy, Abyss, and Jeff Jarrett on pay-per-view. This would, therefore, put him on WWE’s radar, and he would become part of their ECW brand in 2006 under the name Marcus Cor Von. Still, despite being considered a potential future star, he unselfishly opted to retire in 2007 to raise his sister’s children after she sadly passed away.
