Kirby Smart Posts 2-Word Message Ahead of Georgia-Texas Showdown on Saturday

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs are heading into their biggest game of the season as they travel to Austin, Texas, for a crucial SEC clash against the No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns on Saturday.

The Bulldogs are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Alabama earlier this season, putting them in a precarious position if they were to lose again on Saturday against Texas. While two losses to top-ten opponents isn’t the end of the world, a second loss in the SEC could leave them on the outside looking in for a chance at the conference title game in December.

Despite the challenge of playing on the road, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is an exceptional coach and will have his team prepared for this highly anticipated matchup. Ahead of the game, Smart shared a candid two-word message on social media.

"Go Dawgs !!" Smart posted.

Smart has built one of the top programs in the country year in and year out. Although Georgia is currently viewed as the underdog by DraftKings Sportsbook , you can never count them out given the talent they possess on both sides of the football.

In 2021 and 2022, Georgia won back-to-back National Championships, making Smart the first coach to achieve this feat since Nick Saban in 2011 and 2012. He is a three-time SEC Coach of the Year with an impressive .851 career winning percentage and has sent a total of 63 players to the NFL who have been drafted.

A win on Saturday could propel Georgia back into the top three. Conversely, a loss might see them drop to the 10-12 range. However, the true outcome will be determined when the two teams take the field in what promises to be one of the best games of the year.
