    Kinston man arrested on car theft charges

    KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on car theft charges.

    Law enforcement took 48-year-old Anthony Deon Best into custody after an investigation into eight cars being damaged at a garage in Kinston.

    Best was caught at the intersection of Harvey Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard in an allegedly stolen Kia Soul.

    Best was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and driving with license revoked.

    He was jailed in the Lenoir County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.
