‘Fresh Out of Them!’ CNN’s Brianna Keilar Attributes Trump’s Rhetoric to His Age And Him Simply Being ‘Out of You-Know-Whats’

Now that former President Donald Trump is the oldest presidential candidate in American history — after President Joe Biden dropped his bid for reelection — the questions people had about Biden’s mental acuity shifted to Trump, whose rhetoric has become increasingly erratic and unfiltered. CNN’s Brianna Keilar had one theory about the way Trump was acting.

While talking to CNN’s Chris Wallace , Keilar asked if the criticism of Trump’s age was “warranted,” and Wallace seemed to think there was some pretty convincing evidence in favor of that criticism:

Well, people have to judge for themselves. But I think that there’s plenty of evidence out there, Brianna, that could give people cause. Clearly what happened at the town hall where he just stopped and is sitting there swaying to music for 40 minutes as people leave. There have been some awfully strange comments.

The interesting thing is, after the debate between Trump and Biden back in June, the polls showed that Trump led Biden by 29 points on the issue of who is better physically and mentally fit to be president. After the Trump-Harris debate. Now, [Vice President Kamala Harris ] leads Trump by 20 points on the exact same issue. So this question of mental and physical fitness to be president, which was working for Trump against Biden, is now very much working for Harris against Trump.

CNN correspondent Alex Marquardt asked Wallace: “How concerned do you think that voters should be about his mental acuity?” Again, Wallace deferred to the voters and their own opinions on that one, but then he brought up an episode from Friday, when Trump appeared on Fox News — Wallace’s former network — and blurted out his plans for the day:

I’ve been reading a lot about this recently. There’s something as people get older and diminish, there’s something called disinhibition. Basically, that they lose their inhibitions, they lose their filters. My kids sometimes say that about me. Trump was on Fox & Friends this morning and he said, “You know where I’m going after I leave you guys?” And they’re all on the air. “I’m going out to meet Rupert Murdoch and I’m going to tell him that he shouldn’t have any ads attacking me and he shouldn’t have any Democrats who are…” Now, this is something I can understand him perhaps thinking. I’m not sure it made sense, and you could tell from the discomfort of the Fox & Friends anchors, they were not pleased that this was being shared, what Trump was going to be talking in a few minutes to Rupert Murdoch about.

Keilar had her own theory for this: “I think sometimes as people get older, they’re out of, you-know-whats. They’re fresh out of them! And so they just say whatever they want.”

His voters don’t even listen anymore. They are still voting for him. That’s fucking weird.

He’s flat out nuts and demented. Voting for him should be considered a crime against America
