    Spooky Halloween Pizza Skulls

The only additional equipment that you'll need is a skull baking mold. These are easily found online or at specialty baking shops, but if you are like us and love all things spooky-spooky, you'll use this year-round anyway. Make sure you get a quality mold, there are several immitations out there that will just wreck your baking experience. So... without further adieu, this is what you'll need to make 6 skull pizza pockets:

    Ingredients:

    • 1 (13.8-oz.) can refrigerated pizza crust dough
    • 4 1/2 ounces mozzarella, shredded
    • 3/4 cup pizza sauce, plus more for serving
    • 1/3 cup mini pepperoni
    • 1 1/2 ounces Parmesan cheese, grated
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning

    Preheat oven to 400℉.

On a clean surface, roll the dough out into a 15- by 10-inch rectangle. Cut the dough into six 5- by 5-inch squares.

Working with one square at a time, place it into a cavity of a nonstick 6-cavity skull-shaped cakelet pan. Layer the filling inside, starting with 1 tablespoon each of pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan, followed by a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Add another tablespoon of sauce on top. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch the seams to seal it. Trim any excess dough if needed.

Repeat the filling and sealing process with the remaining dough squares and ingredients.

Bake in a preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through and golden brown. Carefully remove the baked skulls from the pan and transfer them to a serving plate. Let them cool for about 5 minutes before serving, with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired and enjoy!

    *Notes:

You can make any flavor you'd like. Garlic alfredo chicken pizza is another favorite combo of ours as well as BBQ chicken.
