While based in Austin, Hai Hospitality has made a home for itself in the Bayou City. The Houston location of its flagship restaurant Uchi opened in 2012 and remains a go-to for sushi lovers. The group has since opened Oheya, its omakase concept, Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar, the second location in the Rice Village debuting just this September, and Uchiko, its “smoke and fire” restaurant. The latter launched lunch service earlier this month, making it the first Uchi concept to do so. Uchiko is in the Post Oak Place retail development at 1801 Post Oak. Surrounded by office buildings, the mall and multiple shopping strips, the Galleria is an ideal location for lunch – both the business and leisurely kind.
