General Hospital fans say it’s ‘such a shame’ to lose ‘wonderful’ Violet as she's written off the soap

General Hospital fans were heartbroken as they agreed that it is "such a shame" to lose "wonderful" Violet as she's shipped off to go live with her dad Finn.

During the latest dramatic episode of General Hospital , fans were devastated as they had to bid farewell to Violet as she's moving in with her father across the country in Seattle, Washington . This comes as Violet has been living with Chase and Brooklynn after her father Finn spiraled and was forced to check into rehab for his alcohol addiction.

After learning the news that she would be leaving Port Charles, Violet asked Chase: "Uncle Chase, how far away is Seattle?" To which he replied: "My plane, it's about six hours." Violet then questioned: "Are you and Aunt Brooklynn going to move to Seattle too?"

Chase, seemingly eager to end the conversation, simply said: "No. We can't our whole lives are here. But we are definitely going to come visit." Violet then sweetly responded: "I'm going to miss you guys a lot." She grabbed two of her favorite stuffed animals and gifted them to Chase and said that they are for the future babies he's going to share with Brooklynn.

And while Violet seemed downcast throughout the episode, she did share that she was looking forward to reuniting with her dad once again. After the news that Violet was leaving the soap was revealed, fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their disappointment over her departure. One General Hospital fan wrote: "Such a shame to lose another wonderful character! Should have never let Finn leave!!"

One viewer added: "I understand and agree with that because I think Chase and Brooklynn are certainly not meant to become parents to children neither which is what Violet should understand about that as well." While another chimed in: "Violet needs some good news in her life in the wake of her fight against Garth. If Finn does return, then he might want to have either her school take responsibility for allowing someone to bully her, or have her transferred to another one." Someone else noted: "Geez, Violet is getting a bigger send off than Sam."
