Here’s Why Mary Cosby’s ‘Two-Faced’ Comment to Heather Gay Might Hold Merit

Now, I must admit, there was no part of me prepared for Mary Cosby to be holding anyone’s feet to the flames. The good pastor was a no-show at a reunion, refused to partake in group activities, and came across as pretty mean. But Season 5 is Mary’s time to shine! She has been including herself in the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City activities and even engaging in some hard conversations. So when she went to tackle Heather Gay (metaphorically, of course), I was pleasantly surprised when it came to her observations.

Who knew ziplining and eating dirt would lead to such a revelation for Mary? But that is exactly what happened as the women sat down for a makeshift tailgate. While sipping their drinks, Mary noted that she felt Heather was always “championing” Lisa Barlow over Angie Katsanevas despite knowing Angie for much longer.  The conversation started after Mary asked Lisa why she hadn’t been talking to Angie, especially after calling her the “B word.” Heather jumped in, explaining that the Vida Tequila owner didn’t appreciate the Greek goddess being “snarky behind her back.” But in Mary’s eyes, the snark went both ways. Heather found herself defending her actions, stating, “I champion Angie as well, but in this situation, I’m on Lisa’s side.”

Mary was annoyed with the hypocrisy , taking to her confessional to vent. “I notice that Heather says things that are very hurtful. She’s always in the middle of something but hides her hands. She’ll say stuff but then stand there like she is the innocent one,” she shared. But Heather quipped, “I think Angie has taken Lisa for granted. She’s critical and snarky.” And without missing a beat, Mary clapped, “That’s kind of two-faced, Heather.”

After Mary accused Heather of having a double standard, fans took to social media to back her up. One follower wrote, “Mary really clocked the tea, Heather is two-faced, and she does leave a trail of lies . I am sick of her switching up on everyone and getting away with it.” Mary wanted to point out that Heather has a way of skirting accountability and often chooses to play it safe. Another fan added that “Mary might be the most direct and hilarious housewife ever. No filter.”

The fashionista brought receipts as she pointed out that Heather had a weird relationship with the truth. Producers flashed back to her lying about who gave her the black eye , which we now know was Jen Shah . Mary also called Heather out on her use of the diet drug Ozempic. While I didn’t think this point was fair, Mary added it to the long case against the Bad Mormon. Heather sat dumbfounded by the accusations, and fans were left with a cliffhanger.

Mary Cosby doesn’t just go after Heather Gay

Luckily, Mary doesn’t discriminate when it comes to dolling out her observations. Season 5 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has shown Mary walloping Britani Bateman . Now, Britani didn’t exactly make a great impression when she insulted Mary’s fashion choices, but this lady is holding a grudge! Britani has been an open book, almost to a fault, and Mary wanted to make sure that she kept some secrets to herself. While Britani was word vomiting about an Osmond, Mary quipped, “I’m just trying to figure out why we care.”

Now, obviously, that was rude. But to be honest, Mary just said what the rest of the women were thinking. And while ziplining, Mary took another hit at Britani as she announced her breakup. The mother of one told the newbie, “Leave us out of this because you are wasting a lot of our time doing this.” God bless, Mary. Even though her sharp tongue might get her into trouble, I think it is needed this season to keep the rest of the women in line. I am hoping to see a reconciliation between Heather and Mary, though I think it will take some time.
