Ferris State led 13-10 when the Bulldogs took over. Northwood got no closer than four after the score was 16-12. FSU eventually took the set 25-13.</li><li>An early 5-1 run in the second set gave Ferris State a 7-3 lead. The Bulldogs followed with a 7-2 push that made the score 15-6. FSU led by at least six the rest of the way, winning the set 25-14 for a 2-0 overall lead.</li><li>In the third set, NU trailed 8-7 before Ferris State went on a big run. The Bulldogs scored eight of the next nine points to take a 16-8 lead. That Maryville run eventually reached 19-3, which made the score 20-7. MU eventually took the opening set 25-10 for a 1-0 lead.</li><li>The Saints kept the momentum going early in the second set, getting out to a 7-3 lead. Northwood got back within one at 8-7, only to see the Saints score six of the next seven points. The Timberwolves got no closer than four the rest of the set, which was won by Maryville 25-15 to give MU a 2-0 lead.</li><li>NU fell behind 9-5 in the third set before fighting back to level the score at 11-11. With Maryville holding a 14-13 lead, the Saints scored seven of the next nine points to go on top 21-15.
