    Hungry for change? Election Day deals in Chicago, plus an Election-Eve show

    With the 2024 Presidential Election right around the corner, patriotic Chicagoans can plan to cast their ballot and eat it too with these tasty Election Day deals at select bars and restaurants. Here are ten special offers, and one Election-Eve event, you’ll want to mark your calendars for starting on Friday, November 1.

    Sweet Mandy B’s

    • Friday, November 1 - Tuesday, November 5

    While supplies last, Sweet Mandy B’s in Lincoln Park and Streeterville will offer featured patriotic treats, including festive cupcakes and red or blue “vote” cookies.

    The Getaway

    • Monday, November 5

    Head to Lincoln Square’s newest bar The Getaway for an Election-Eve edition to its biweekly live talk and variety show Welcome to the Show , which is inspired by Conan O’Brien’s late-night talk show. Chicagoan Derek Bish will host and TV Producer Derek Simonds Haas will be a featured guest. Additional guests include JG Shadid (Musician), D. Anson Brody (Antiquarian Photographer), Mick Champayne (Illustrator), and Jamie Shriner (Comedian).

    Music will start at 7:30 p.m. followed by the talk show at 8 p.m. Guests will receive complimentary bites and wine samples. Seating is first-come, first-serve. Those who come early can also enjoy happy hour from 4-6 p.m., which includes $8 house cocktails, $5 select drafts, and $4 domestics.

    Cody’s Public House

    • Tuesday, November 5

    On Election Day, Cody’s Public House in Lakeview East will offer voters with an “I Voted” sticker a complimentary Cody’s sticker, plus drink specials like $3 Hamms, $3 PBRs, $3 Old Style tall boys, and $5 Malort.

    Four Entertainment Group Bars

    • Tuesday, November 5

    Voters with an “I Voted” sticker who visit any of Four Entertainment Group’s seven bars will receive $1 off drinks. Those bars include the following:
