    K9 Ripp Nabs Burglar Hiding in Bathroom During Late-Night Eugene Break-In

    EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Leroy Linday, 40, in the early hours of September 18, 2024, following a burglary at a residence in the 1100 block of Maxwell Road.

    Deputies responded to a 2 a.m. report of a burglary after the homeowner’s alarm was activated, and a broken window was discovered. Upon arriving, K9 Ripp was deployed to search the building. The K9 quickly located Linday, who had barricaded himself in a bathroom.

    Deputies negotiated Linday’s surrender, and he was arrested without further incident. Linday was lodged at the Lane County Jail and faces charges of Burglary in the 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree.
