Unit’s pursuit and apprehension of a woman suspected of an armed robbery. The woman fled in a vehicle and police used a PIT maneuver to thwart her getaway attempt.</p><p>According to the department, A.C.E. officers were assisting the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office in its attempts to locate a vehicle and a suspect in an armed robbery. The female suspect had robbed an elderly woman of her cell phone, according to the sheriff’s office.</p><p>When Atlanta officer located the suspect’s car parked in a carwash, the suspect reversed away from the officer and fled.</p><p>As the pursuit moved onto a highway, A.C.E. officers pursued and used a PIT maneuver to stop the car. When it came to rest against the median wall, the woman inside attempted to flee on foot but was quick apprehended.</p></div></body>
