POCATELLO — The Kind Conservatory is set to hold a grand opening and musical performance at its new recital hall in Downtown Pocatello on Wednesday.

Natalia Lauk, owner of the Kind Conservatory, said the new venue is available for anyone who wants to use it for a music recital, whether they are part of the Kind Conservatory or not.

“Teachers in Pocatello are welcome to book the venue and use it,” Lauk said. “It’s a nice setting. It fits 100 people and it should feel very welcoming.”

The recital hall is located at 412 W. Center St. near Lookout Point, the Marshall Public Library and Pocatello High School. The grand opening will be on Wednesday, Oct. 23 starting at 5:30 p.m.

“The grand opening is open to the general public,” Lauk said. “Not only to teachers and students but anyone who is curious about what we do.”

The event will start with a mingle at 5:30 p.m. and will have a recital put on by students at the Kind Conservatory from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“We are going to have a reception at 7 p.m. and a potluck afterwards,” Lauk said. “Everyone is welcome to come.”

The Kind Conservatory has also announced that it has added a new singing teacher to its staff. It has added soprano singer Jordan Bowman.

“She is a fantastic singer,” Lauk said. “We are excited to have her teach with us.”

The conservatory looks forward to providing students with high quality instruments. It also looks forward to giving students more opportunities to perform in public.

“The ability to perform publicly promotes growth as a musician,” Lauk said. “It’s our goal to have them perform as often as possible.”

The conservatory also looks forward to bringing more musical talent to Pocatello and sharing that talent with others.

“It’s available,” Lauk said. “There’s something suitable for young musicians and everyone interested in music.”

Anyone who is interested in supporting the Kind Conservatory can either make a monetary donation or they can donate a piano. The conservatory is currently looking for more pianos for their students.

“They need to be gently used and well maintained,” Lauk said.

More information about the Kind Conservatory can be found on its website at thekindconservatory.com or by calling 208-405-2007.
