Jadon Chesnutt</figcaption></figure>No. 19 Texas Tech soccer (12-2-2) will play its final regular season road game in a matchup against the University of Cincinnati (6-7-3) at noon on Sunday at Gettler Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.The Red Raiders enter the game off a 1-0 win against the University of West Virginia on Thursday night that started a two-game win streak.Tied with Texas Christian University for first place in the conference with two games remaining in the regular season, head coach Tom Stone said his team is taking the final stretch one game at a time.“It’s dangerous to spend too much time looking over what everyone else is doing because we have nothing to say about it,” Stone said. “If you look past West Virginia, you’re going to get tripped up by Cincinnati, like, they’re legit.”The Bearcats have not won a match in their last three contests and are 0-1-2 in that span.Since the Bearcats joined the conference in 2023, the Red Raiders are 2-0 in their two games from last season with one at home and one at a neutral site, according to Tech Athletics.Despite Cincinnati’s recent record and the Red Raiders' success in their two matchups, Stone said the Bearcats have still improved in that span.“It’s gonna be a hard game,” Stone said. “They have a unique surface. They have a really good team. I feel like they’ve gotten better since last year. They’re making waves in the Big 12. They've been a great addition.”Bearcats freshman forward Rylee Felton is tied for sixth in the conference in game-winning goals with three, according to the Big 12.In order to walk out of Cincinnati with a win, Stone said his team needs to get back to game shape and prepare accordingly.“We realize this road game on a Sunday is not going to be easy,” Stone said. “It’s gonna be max recovery, fairly lengthy bus ride to Cincinnati and then get the team ready again.
