Florida - Florida’s cold snap has unleashed a chilling new threat—literally falling from the sky. As temperatures drop below 50°F, iguanas are freezing up, paralyzed by the cold, and plummeting from trees. But this isn’t just an odd quirk of nature; it’s a terrifying hazard. These reptiles, which can grow up to 5 feet long, become cold-stunned and lose control of their bodies, dropping like frozen missiles onto unsuspecting passersby.

Picture walking your dog or enjoying a quiet evening stroll when, out of nowhere, a lifeless, frozen iguana crashes down beside you—or worse, on you. The sheer weight and size of these reptiles can cause serious injury. But the terror doesn't end there. As temperatures rise, these iguanas can suddenly revive, springing back to life in unpredictable and potentially aggressive ways, creating an even scarier situation.

Residents in areas with high iguana populations are being warned to stay on high alert. It’s not just the shock of these creatures falling from above; the possibility of an unpredictable recovery adds an eerie twist. These seemingly dead reptiles can come back to life, potentially becoming defensive or dangerous. In this bizarre, nightmare-like scenario, Floridians are not just battling the cold, but bracing for the next iguana drop—a true horror story unfolding in the most unexpected places.

With weather patterns growing more erratic, this creepy and unsettling event could become a recurring nightmare, reminding us just how wild and unpredictable nature can be. Stay vigilant—Florida's trees may be hiding more than just leaves this winter.

Poor iguana’s. I love all animals except snakes. I wouldn’t go out of my way to kill one but I’d avoid it like the plague.
