One of the nice surprises of 2024, Arizona State keeps on powering through the schedule with good wins over Kansas and Utah before diving into a run of three road games in four dates.
And yes, being 5-1 is great, but there isn't a true layup win left. It would be great to get bowl eligible here.
Cincinnati has also been great with a win at UCF keeping hopes alive to be in the Big 12 race. The two losses to Pitt and Texas Tech were by a total of four points.
Road dates at Iowa State and Kansas State later on will be tough, and going to Colorado next week will be interesting, but take down Arizona State, and the attention will come.

Cam Skattebo and the Arizona State ground game continue to power away.
Skattebo is averaging 5.8 yards per carry, the rushing attack is averaging 211 yards per game, and the offense should keep the chains moving.
With concerns at quarterback, the Sun Devils need to run, rely on the defense, and win the turnover battle. They don't turn the ball over and are great at controlling the clock, but ... Why Cincinnati Will Win
Arizona State starting quarterback Sam Leavitt is out.
The veteran isn't always accurate, but he's a baller who's second on the team in rushing and, along with Skattebo, brings an attitude to the attack.
Jeff Sims is experienced with explosion and skills, but he has a problem with turning the ball over. Again, Arizona State hasn't had issues with turnovers this year, but that might change against the Bearcats.

Cincinnati is better than ASU on third downs and a wee bit better in the time of possession battle. Sims will be dangerous and the ground game will work, but at home, the Bearcats will control the tempo a bit better and hold up against the run.
