Born and raised in Michigan, Saleh attended and played at Northern Michigan University. Saleh would go on to earn his Masters Degree at Michigan State and spent his first two years coaching for the Spartans in 2002 and 2003.He has roots to East Lansing and would be an incredible option with an established coach, a great defensive mind, a history with the program and a hatred of Big Blue.Robert Saleh is currently looking for a job after being fired by Aaron Rodgers, correction Jets Owner Woody Johnson. He could see interest in being a head coach again immediately for an NFL team or even return to Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers where he became such a big name option.Michigan State and Robert Saleh need each other. Robert Saleh had a lot of growing pains as a head coach and could take what he learned from the Jets and rebuild the Spartan program. The Big Ten is only getting bigger and more competitive every year and these programs need to take shots on big names to attract talent to come to their program. A name like Saleh would instantly juice of the defensive side of the ball.This would be a perfect fit for both. Saleh can learn what it takes to lead and build something up whereas New York just tried to patch every issue by trading and spending them really giving him a shot to build a culture and team.
