Sheduer Sanders is Once Again Linked to the Raiders by Bleacher Report

The Raiders season has been underwhelming, and there's no other way to explain it.

For some, it may be going as expected, given the team's quarterback situation coming into the season.

After the Raiders missed out on a quarterback in the 2024 NFL draft and were forced to enter the season with Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell, simply reaching .500 seemed unlikely.

Now at 2-4 through six weeks of the NFL season, and a future first ballot hall of fame receiver traded later , it's obvious they're targeting a quarterback in the upcoming draft.

The one quarterback that has continuously been linked to the Raiders is Sheduer Sanders. If you don't know already, he is the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders and one of the faces of the Colorado Buffaloes. The trend of Sanders being linked to the Raiders has not changed, as Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report still believes he will end up as a Raider.

"Sanders would feel right at home in the Raiders offense alongside the team's supporting cast," Sobleski wrote. "Sanders' high-level accuracy and ball placement would elevate Bowers going forward, along with unlocking speedster Tre Tucker. Sanders can extend plays with his legs, creating second-reaction opportunities for his weapons to break free from coverage. He is a mentally tough passer who excels in late-game situations. This pairing makes perfect sense."

Sanders is a proven playmaker. There's no getting around that. He also has one of the best players in college football to throw the ball to in Travis Hunter which doesn't hurt. One of the main concerns for Sanders has been the fact that he has thrown his teammates under the bus in the past. Specifically in a loss to Nebraska when he called out his offensive line for allowing him to get hit.

Regardless, it seems the Raiders are enamored with the talent he possesses as he continues to be the top target for the team.
