The Florida State Seminoles have looked like a completely different team this season, sitting at 1-6 after going 13-1 just last year. They’ve struggled in every phase of the game, and the first half of Friday night’s 23-16 loss to the Duke Blue Devils was no different.

Florida State sophomore quarterback Brock Glenn made his fourth career start and second in 2024 after starter DJ Uiagalelei suffered a broken finger in the team's 42-16 loss to the SMU Mustangs in Week 5.

The Seminoles' offense fell apart quickly as Glenn turned the ball over on three consecutive offensive plays.

It started with 1:46 left in the first quarter, with the Seminoles up 3-0. Glenn dropped back to pass and threw a pick-six that Duke cornerback Chandler Rivers returned 36 yards for a touchdown.

After the extra point to make it 7-3, the Blue Devils kicked off to Florida State. On the very next offensive play, Glenn ran for 12 yards but fumbled, and Duke recovered.

The Blue Devils turned that into a 10-play touchdown drive, putting them up 14-3.

And just when it seemed like things couldn’t get worse, Glenn came back out and threw another interception to make Florida State the first FBS team in 2024 to have three turnovers on three straight offensive plays .

This time, the ball was intercepted by Duke linebacker Ozzie Nicholas, who returned it 29 yards.

Glenn was then replaced by the freshman Luke Kromenhoek, who took over on the next drive. Kromenhoek played through the rest of the first half and one series into the second half.

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell turned back to Glenn as he finished the game going 9-of-19 for 110 passing yards and three turnovers.

Fans who spent Friday night watching this ACC tilt were having a field day on X, laughing at Florida State and cracking jokes about their attempted exit from the ACC .

"Brock Glenn is trash. 😂😭," one fan said.

"they really thought they were too good for the ACC," another wrote.

    "Omg 😂😂😂," added another.

"Florida State is too big for the ACC," added a fan.

"Florida State is soooooo bad 😭😭😭," a fan said.

"Florida State should be investigated 😆," added a fan. "There’s gotta be some crime hiding behind all this."

"Legit funny Florida State is far and away the worst team in the ACC this year," another said.

Glenn made two starts last season as a freshman. His first came in the 2023 ACC Championship game, where he led Florida State to a 16-6 win over the Louisville Cardinals, securing the school’s first ACC football title since 2014.

Glenn's second start came in the team's following game against the Georgia Bulldogs in the Capital One Orange Bowl. Georgia won that one 63-3.

Before Friday night's game against Duke, Glenn had accumulated 457 passing yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in his college career.

The Seminoles have a big one in Week 9. They'll head down south to face their in-state rival and sixth-ranked Miami Hurricanes (6-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
